Hey y’all.
I’m thinking about offering some writing coaching/teaching this year and gauging if there’s enough interest to support it. I’ve been writing congregational liturgy since 2013, and since then I have learned a TON:
Best-practices,
Tips for staying inspired,
How to think about tone, length, focus, and word-choice,
Do’s and Don’ts,
Theological considerations,
Laying the spiritual groundwork for a creative life,
How to inspire without preaching,
And LOTS MORE. Let’s just say that I have a LOT to say about writing liturgy in general, and congregational prayers in particular.
Are you a liturgist looking for guidance and inspiration? Does your community need some fresh liturgical air? Do you have a tricky congregational situation (think multi-lingual or multi-generational congregations)? Or maybe you need a liturgy for a particular ritual or occasion?
Options I’m dreaming of:
A 1.5 hour Intro to Litany writing class via zoom
A 4-week writing cohort for liturgists with the opportunity for feedback from me on your writing.
1-1 coaching sessions where we take an in-depth look at your writing and your community’s needs
Would you like to learn from me? I’ve created a poll on my Patreon page - or you can email me here which option you’d be interested in. If there’s interest, I’d like to work in that direction in 2022.
