This litany was originally published on my Instagram @thelitanist on November 3, 2025 during the government shutdown and lapse in SNAP coverage

Universal love,
Open the eyes of the wealthy & privileged to the plight of the poor, sick, elderly, and disabled.
Let the plans of power-mongers & greed-wielders be thwarted, permanently.
May all those in government,the decision- makers,
be unable to rest until SNAP and EBT benefits are re instated.

Let those who are making fraudulent and false claims about the truly needy find themselves silenced,
in the manner of Zechariah, muzzled by Spirit.

Let all lies and disinformation cease,
to be replaced with the purest truth and highest Love.

We long for and work toward a truly just and equitable society.
We commit to putting our money, time, and votes where our mouth is on this.
We cooperate with Love in building a nation
that uplifts the downtrodden, the economically disadvantaged, the over- looked, and the under-privileged.

We stand together in solidarity and in generosity, sharing our resources and time
with those most in need.

And we pray for miracles: the sudden softening of hard hearts,
the enlightenment of stubborn minds,
the fresh courage of fearful bodies - even, and especially, our own.
